Responsibilities

• Transporting residents to scheduled activities and other scheduled destinations as applicable
• Assists residents during boarding and exiting the vehicle, and when they cross the street when the vehicle is stopped to ensure their safety.
• Operates the vehicle safely and in compliance with traffic laws, organizational policies, and licensing requirements. 
• Ensuring the maintenance of the bus such as filling the gas tank and windshield washer fluid, checking tire pressure, checking the oil. 
• Ensures vehicles are regularly cleaned and sanitized, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
• Supports all related tasks during resident outings to ensure the continuity and the quality of the services.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 4 driver’s license with a clean driving record
• 1-2 years of experience as a driver.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in customer service is an asset.
• Familiar with Bus safety procedures and processes 

Conditions of Employment
