As the Financial Analyst, you are responsible for financial modeling acquisition opportunities, cash flow scenarios in operations and developing recommendations for optimizing treasury. The role is actively engaged in managing the day-to-day review of the financial covenants, lead the analysis of the overall performance of the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the annual budgets, including coordination with operations team and cross-functional leaders in the organization.
- Complete consolidation and analysis of budgets and the preparation of management reports and presentations.
- Develop and optimize complex financial models to forecast performance based on various scenarios and assumptions.
- Responsible for quarterly forecasting and work closely within finance and cross-functional teams to gather relevant data for accurate forecasting.
- Provide decision support through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and variances.
- Integrate newly acquired or developed assets into the reporting framework.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to support corporate development projects and strategic initiatives.
- Assist in evaluating the financial impact of potential business opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned to support FP&A and operational requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis (including advanced financial modeling, sensitivity and scenario analysis and the development of strategic insights to support clinical and operational decision making).
- Completion of accounting or finance diploma or degree is required.
- Certified public accountants (CPA) or certified financial analysts (CFA) an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial, property management and IT management best practices.
- Advance Microsoft Excel skills (advanced formula, power pivot, macros, etc) with proven financial modeling, analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize under a fast paced environment and, willingness to assist other team members across the entire company.
- Strong communicator (both written and verbal) – able to distill large amounts of data into discrete and concise information.
- Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
