These options range from subsidized to luxury, Independent to Assisted Living, Long-term Care to Memory Care, and Residential Mental Health.

This position is responsible for overnight housekeeping duties in common areas, security and emergency response.

Responsibilities: 

• Clean areas according to assigned schedules using appropriate cleaning and sanitation methods and procedures. Regular maintenance of common areas, washroom fixtures, walls, ceilings, lights, vents and windows 
• Operate floor care machines and steam cleaning equipment (strip, scrub, spray, and buff all carpet and non-carpet floor surfaces)
• Garbage collection and transportation to designated areas
• Emergency Response - responding to Resident Emergency call bell system 
• Surveillance and patrol of grounds or buildings as assigned.
• Verify all doors, windows and gates are secure on the property on a rotating schedule.
• Adhere to established residence policies and procedures, including safety rules and safe working practices
• Prepare documentation as required according to residence policy
• Solid knowledge of Resident Rights & Responsibilities, adhere to, respect and promote
• Uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in the Code of Conduct 
• Perform other related tasks & duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent is require
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to provide feedback on a day-to-day basis
• Knowledge and experience with standard institutional cleaning techniques
•  Previous experience in commercial / residential/ Healthcare cleaning and laundry procedures is considered an asset 
• The ability to work with minimal supervision

• Clear vulnerable sector check
• First Aid Certification is Required
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or sit for long periods 
• COVID-19 vaccination. This requirement will be waived if you did not receive the vaccination due to any legislated protected human rights grounds
